"Are you Giving yourself a Break or Giving up on Yourself?"
As we live our lives and expand our spirits many times we can trick ourselves that when we are taking care of ourselves, by saying "It's ok just be give yourself a break" when it comes to doing something that may be hard or challenging in our lives. There is a very fine line between allowing ourselves to be gentle and encouraging ourselves to be a little uncomfortable so that we may grow.
I know that with myself, this has come up and I realised that many times when I was telling myself that I was being gentle with myself, I was really just not wanting to expand and grow, out of fear or complacency which was really giving up on myself and my growth.
There are, of course many times when we need to be gentle with ourselves and not push so hard and that is a very good thing. Expanding and growing many times is not easy and takes some dedication and encouraging ourselves to do what is new and a little challenging.
Next time you tell yourself that you are giving yourself a break, ask yourself if that's really true or are you in some way giving up on yourself?
Ultimately, these are not mutually exclusive ideas because to commit to our growth and expansion is treating ourselves well and holding ourselves up to a higher and more expansive standard.
Here's to gentle growth and expansion!

Happy Solstice!
Today is the longest day of the year if you are in
the Northern hemisphere, and that means that there is great change
in the air. There will be more "light" today than any other day of
the year. Metaphysically speaking the energies are aligned with us
in a very powerful way.
It is said that when the solstice comes it is an energetic
representation of the Divine on earth and it is a great time for
manifesting and affirming the LIGHT.
As Rev. Cassandra Anaya says:
"The Solstice is a day to see the Creator in everyone you come in
contact with and to recognize their divinity along with the
recognition of your own self God image. John the Baptist is the
recognized saint for the Summer Solstice. The belief is that summer
solstice is for renewal, which needs to be a renewed commitment to
God and ourselves."
I would encourage you to take the time today to meditate, pray
and see the Creator in everyone and in yourself. This is the time
of celebration and rejoicing. Allow that energy to permeate your
being today and send it all back out into the world.
If you work with ascended masters, guides and/or angels, call
them in to help and share the party of LIGHT. This conscious act
will set you up energetically for the next few months.
As I said before, this is also the perfect time to manifest the
LIGHT in many many ways. Think on what you would like to manifest
for yourself, for others and the world as whole. When you not only
think, focus and pray on these new manifestations, but also take
some action in the world, however small toward that outcome, the
chances of your desires coming true are greatly increased. This
means that you need to match your energetic intentions with DOING.
This doesn't have to be a huge thing that you are
going to DO, but it has to be put into action in the world in some
way. Ask your angels and guides what's one thing that you can do
to help open up the energetic flow in the direction of your
manifestation. Once you get the answer, DO IT. This is extremely
important and it is where many of us fail in terms of manifesting.
Know that Source and the Divine is ALWAYS on your side , but
particularly during this Summer Solstice time. Trust that
energetic field that is at your disposal right now is heightened
and much more accessible to you.
Here's to a beautiful Solstice and manifesting with joy

Love is the Oxygen… Love is to the spirit what oxygen is to the body. Without oxygen the body will very soon die. Our spirit isn't at effect of physical space and time restrictions the same way that the body is. Depriving or starving our spirit of love will take longer to see it's effect than if you stopped getting oxygen and the body stops functioning. A lack of love will take many forms that slowly creep up on us in very subtle forms, such as; irritability, impatience, loss of focus, feeling overwhelmed,passive/aggressive behaviors, "checking out" mentally more than usual, feeling rushed, physical aches and pains and much more. Serious manifestations of the lack of love in our lives can cause isolation, co dependent relationships, low self esteem, Depression, extreme anger, addictions and even suicide. If you notice I have not specified what Love we are speaking of and where it may or not be coming from. That is because I have broken Love down into three separate categories, as follows:
- Love for and from ourselves
- Love for and from outer sources
- Love that is unconditional from the Divne source of life, for at it's core life itself is love.
Let's just look at the first and I believe the most important one of the three right now:
- Love for and from Ourselves
I say the easiest to access because as humans we are self reflective beings. If we are equipped with the proper tools and techniques, we have the ability to look and assess the love we have for ourselves. Once we can pinpoint how we are or not loving ourselves then we can begin to shift that and incorporate more self-love.
Honesty is one of the keys to real unconditional love for ourselves. Without the willingness to look beyond the lies that we may tell ourselves, we will never be able to truly love ourselves at the deepest level and freely give that love to others in the world. So as you begin the journey of breathing more spiritual oxygen into your life, be very aware when you are not being totally honest. Ask yourself: " How loving am I to myself?" Look at your thoughts, feelings and actions about self love. Writing down these three things will give you a clear picture of where you are in relation to loving yourself. Take time to make caring and loving your inner most being the priority in your life. This is not selfish because unconditional love for ourselves is the connection that we have to every other being on the planet and beyond this world.

The Stream
There is a very subtle, quiet and yet powerful stream of energy just underneath where we live on a conscious level. This stream is carrying us forward…that is if we listen to it, if we allow it and if we let it. We can choose to make this stream the guiding force of our lives or not. That is the greatest power that we have…the power to choose. This power of choice applies to everything we experience, but in my opinion most importantly it applies to how, when or if we choose to have this stream be our guide. The stream will always lead us back to our true selves, the Divine and to eachother.
Meditation of any sort is a way to break free from all the thoughts in our mind in order to connect with the stream and what the stream is guiding us towards or away from. Without some form of meditation, there is almost no way to connect, feel, hear or ultimately act on the stream’s guidance. When we speak of ways of listening to the stream we can stumble into a “this way” or “that way” dogma in terms of meditation practice. I try to steer clear of prescribing that there may be one way or another that may be better or worse when it comes to meditation. One of my favorite bits of advice about this comes from Neale Donald Walsh when he says “If you feel God eating a salami sandwich, by golly do that!”
There are millions of people in the world and there are millions of ways to hear, feel, see and act upon the stream. There is a groundswell going on the planet right now. This groundswell is a profound calling, a calling all of us recognize on an extremely deep level. It is a calling that until now only great mystics, yogis and enlightened beings could hear, but something has changed. I believe that what has changed is that humankind is on the verge of a brand new dawn of existence. This new existence has everything to do with the stream and the gentle defenseless power of the stream to create a new world that possibly has never been experienced on earth before. Whether we realize it or not, we are all part of this mass movement inward and towards the stream. We have made the choice to be here and be here NOW so that we could begin to usher in this time of releasing our identification with the outer manifestations and instead identification with the internal stream that is flowing within all of us at all times.
What You Can Do: STOP. BREATHE. ALLOW. TRUST. Doing this pattern, whether it be for 20 minutes or 2. It will help the stream to be the guiding force in your life. Once it is the guiding force, you will shift and so will the world around you

Impatience or Divine Anticipation?
Having a constant sense of impatience for something to happen in our lives is very common and in many ways quite natural. We all strive to see what the future will bring and that is not necessarily a bad thing, but in our desire to speed up the natural flow it can actually keep us stuck. Whether it be wanting a relationship that we dream of to be here, now or if it is needing a resolution to a problem, the feeling of impatience actually halts the natural process of spiritual growth.
Impatience keeps us from living totally in the Now of life and from being in touch with our authentic selves and moment by moment impulses. If we are constantly putting our focus on something in the future, we will inevitably fail to see, feel and react to what is right in front of us. And many times it is the things that are right in front of us that will help us deal with or solve the problems we are being impatient about. Impatience comes from our need to control the outcome or resolution of a certain situation. We may want a person to do what we want them to do. We may want a scenario in our lives to go the way in which we want them to go. Whatever it may be it is a form of control and not flow.
When we have flow in our lives it is not as if we don't look forward to events and situations. We do, but without a sense of trying to figure it out and more importantly trying to get the result that we think is the best. When we begin to let go of results and stay in the flow of moment by moment living, a beautiful thing begins to happen. Instead of impatience, a sense of what I call, divine anticipation begins to manifest in our lives. The best way to describe this divine anticipation is what we have as children at Christmas time. Remember that feeling when you were so excited about Christmas morning? You couldn't wait for it to come and you knew it would. Divine anticipation is the positive side of impatience. Divine anticipation is the thrilling sense that something is coming. You may not know specifically what it is that's coming, but you know it is! It is always exciting, positive and gives you energy.
WHAT YOU CAN DO: One of the best ways to hear and feel Divine anticipation is to meditate. As you meditate slowly you let go of your need to control. You begin to know that everything in your life is exactly perfect for your highest good and is leading you to the Divine, all the time and in every situation. Start by just meditating 10 mins a day 2 times a day by sitting very quiet and simply saying “Let Go, let go, let go….” over and over. Once you start this practice a new energy will ignite in you and you will start feeling the
Divine anticipation. Copyright© 2010 Max Ryan and MRB Enterprises
Healing the Cravings
We all have or have had addictions in our lives. In our society we tend to look at addictions as solely physical and that is far from the truth. Addictions come in many forms; physical, mental, emotional, relational etc. Whatever form the addiction takes the source of the addiction is always because of the lack of connection to our true source; our Spirit. When we are in touch with the greatness and vastness of our beautiful Spirits, our addictions naturally begin to fall away. It is in the consistent re-connection with our Spirit that we also experience the Divine source.
When we truly, within our hearts have this experience it goes beyond just knowing to a shift in our whole concept of who we really are. When that happens, addiction can be seen clearly as an ego tactic of fear because whatever the addiction is it keeps us away from this experience of the Divine. Many of us have struggled with addiction by trying to get rid of it in one form or another, but this isn't the way to true healing and our path back to our Spirit. Instead of getting rid of the addiction first by sheer will power of the ego, it can be much more effective if we deal with the almost unconscious craving that goes along with the addiction. To be clearer, alcoholism is the addiction and the craving is wanting the drink or unhealthy relationship is the addiction and calling the person is the craving. Smoking is the addiction the craving is wanting the cigarette. Unhealthy Eating is the addiction and wanting the third piece of chocolate cake is the craving. The craving will always be slightly different for each person and addiction, but does it make sense? This is where the Angels can intercede…
We always have the power to choose and the Angels will never interfere with that power, but they can help us with our cravings. When we ask the Angels to help us take away or lessen the cravings of our addiction they rush in and help us by shifting our attention back to the Divine and in turn to our Spirit.
What You can Do:
The process for doing this on our part couldn't be simpler. Since the Angels are constantly at the ready to help us, all we need to do is first recognize specifically what the craving that is associated the addiction is. Then ask the Angels to take away the craving and not the addiction. When we do this then the Angels rush to our hearts and bring us back in alignment with our Spirit and the Divine. When that happens it may be very subtle or quite profound, but either way it guides us away from the addictive behavior. You can ask any Angel to help you with this, but in my opinion why not go right to the most powerful of the healing Angels, Archangel Raphael.
His job is to help us to heal and come back to our perfection and away from the traps of fear and the ego which have millions of manifestations. But, the details of those manifestations don’t matter, for as A Course In Miracles teaches "There is no difficulty in miracles". Call on Archangel Raphael by calling his name (out loud is better, but silently works also) three times and then tell him the pain that this addiction is causing in your life and to help you take away the cravings that keep the addiction alive in your life. Feel his presence and what he tells you within your heart and know that he now has your permission to intercede when the craving comes up for you. Then thank him… Continue to do this. Just as with any Angelic relationship, it takes care, respect and attention on your part to continue to ask for his help and tell him what your heart is going through.
My personal experience has been that when I have handed a craving over to Raphael, the cravings immediately lessen and within a very short period of time become non-existent. It is a much more loving and gentle way to be with ourselves than using the sheer will power of the ego to fight the addiction. Then I look back and see the ways in which the addiction was keeping me from the Divine. My prayer for you is that you take time to hand your cravings over to Archangel Raphael, so that in that particular area of your life you can get that much closer to your Spirit and the love of the Divine. As always, I pray that Love will guide you…

Here are a few points that are paramount on your journey with the Angels.
* We must ask for Angelic intervention or guidance in our lives.
* Working with angels is a subjective science and not an exact one. This is something that we have to accept as embark on this journey.
* The Angels and the angelic realm have one overarching purpose; to help us.
* The Angels always hear us. * We are responsible for listening to their guidance.
* Angels cannot override our power of choice.
* We always have the choice to take an action or not taken action based on what the Angels are communicating or telling us.
* Angels come in many forms. These forms are the ways that our particular personality structure, history and spirits perceive them. They are many ways such as; Traditional winged beings, Lights, Feelings, Human Form, Strong feelings,
* The Angels will always guide us towards our highest good. Sometimes our path to our highest good may not be the smoothest ride, but the guidance is always with love and compassion.

Angels Rush In….
If we want to be clearer, more connected and more in the flow of life one of the main tools that I teach is that we have to implement some form of meditation into our lives. Meditation is a direct link to connecting with Source and getting beyond our incessant mind chatter to our peace. I know that in our culture meditation isn't always feasible or practical for many of us, but I would encourage you to find a way to fit some form into your life. If you are consistent with it it will yield amazing results. The fact is that we need to implement some kind of techniques that will help us reduce all the mind chatter if we want to live a more "spirited" life. If we want to reduce our stress, feel more peaceful and enjoy our life path more we have to find ways to allow our minds to "empty" out. But as I say it can be hard to do on a consistent basis, so today I want to give you a practical tool that is an amazingly powerful way to help clear your mind.
This tool comes from a book called "Getting Things Done" by David Allen. It is something that I use all the time and helps me and my clients immensely! It is called the 3 "D"‘s When you have things that you have on your mind that need to get done try this: Make a list and apply one of the following "D"'s to it and suddenly you will feel freer and more clear in your head. 1. DO- If there is something that you need or want to get done and it will take you less that 5 mins to accomplish it then DO IT! Whether its responding to emails, picking up those clothes on the floor, clearing your desk (well that may take more time! lol) oiling that door that has been squeaking for years or calling that friend you haven't touched base with just to say "Hi". You will be amazed at how many things you have been putting off and how quickly they can get done and out of your head! This one concept is one that I carry with me all the time and has literally changed my life! 2. DUMP IT- If there is something that you need or want to do that you deem not so important and that you don't HAVE to do, then DUMP it. We tend to put so much pressure on ourselves to DO something when in reality in doesn't HAVE to be done immediately if ever. If it does HAVE to be done and it will take more that 5 mins. to accomplish, then chuck it up into smaller steps that can be done in a reasonable amount of time. 3. DELEGATE IT- If there is something that you need to get done, but you can have someone else help you with it, then ask…Many times we go through life like we are SUPERPERSON who can do all things by ourselves. Just having some help in accomplishing things is a huge relief. For example one of things that really has relieved a lot of pressure for me is that I no longer DO my own laundry. I take it in and have someone else do it. It costs me maybe 4 dollars more, but that is a HUGE relief of time and pressure on me. I know that there are things that people can either DO with you or they can DO the whole thing… Here's to clearer head and to getting things done!
Good Vibrations
How we look at things, how we think about things, how we feel about things; all those things create a vibration. It's all about what we think, what we feel, and how we look at things. All those things create a vibration which in turn creates our lives. Outside experiences and events feel like they're coming from outside, but they're really coming from our vibration. We are constantly emitting our vibration all the time, whether we realize it or not. When we raise our energetic vibration, then everything shifts. Our lives begin to feel more peaceful, energized and connected to out highest good. One of my main focuses in the work I do with clients is this idea of raising our vibration because raising our vibration is crucial to creating the lives that we all desire. There are a few simple things that you can do to begin to raise your vibration:
- Meditate- Meditation is the best way to start to raise your vibration. If you are new to meditation, just take 5 minutes every day to sit quietly and focus on your breath. When your mind wanders, just bring your attention back to your breath. That's all. This simple practice will shift you more than you know.
- See Beauty- As you go through your day, become a beauty detective. Look for things, people and experiences that are beautiful to you. Focusing your attention on these things will bring you a sense of peace and contentment. When this happens your vibration is raised higher.
- Give to Others- When we consciously extend ourselves to help, guide or just be there for our fellow brothers and sisters on this journey, our own sense of self shifts towards the good and confirms the universal truth that we are all connected and there is no need to compete.
Even doing one of these things on a consistent basis will raise your vibration and bring more peace, joy and ease to your life. Here's to good vibrations!!!
I Wonder….
We have so many things around us at all times that are helping us along our journey. If we are going through life without accessing these effective and powerful tools, then no wonder we may not be moving forward towards our peace, joy and happiness.Just like we have friends, therapists and coaches that help guide us we also have a huge host of spiritual helpers that are continually, prodding, pushing and suggesting paths, decisions and directions to take. Our first instinct is that our physical friends are much easier to hear and communicate with, but that is because accessing the others is something that either we are not used to or we have not put in the time to develop those relationships and the "ears" to hear and the "eyes" to see them. Among these spiritual or non-physical friends are angels, spirit guides, loved ones who have passed over, ascended masters, elementals, and of course, the Divine or God.
There is a place for physical and spiritual guidance in our lives. One without the other results in a life that feels somehow lacking or deficient. When we rely too much on one then we are out of balance and we are ultimatley cheating ourselves of a full, rich and rewarding experience of our lives. I am not saying that you need to "believe" in any of the above non physical guides that I have mentioned, but I am saying that if any of these are hard for you to accept, then just be open to the concept of "wonder" in your life. When we open up to wonder, we open up our perspective about life and what it can mean.
Wonder is an amazing tool that we have access to at all times if we choose to use it. It is through the eyes of wonder that we begin to drop preconceived ideas about life, ourselves and most importantly what "it" all means and our place in "it". With the help of wonder, we open up to other possibilities. Once we open up to wonder and then move in that direction, real shifts can begin to take place in our lives. It is when we do that, that we become driven by inspiration and not by motivation. Living our lives from inspiration is a much more natural path to peace and happiness. This path is ultimately more satisfying than having to live by temporary external motivation that will always wear out at some point.
As the great coach Micheal Neill says: "Happiness leads to success much more often than success leads to happiness". As you move through your life become acutely aware of when you may need physical guidance and support and when you need non physical. When you become good at knowing when you need which type of guidance, one day you will back and say "It's a WONDERful life!"
